Decoding Bharat is an initiative to interpret the rich legecy of Hindu Knowledge System in today’s context. We often talk about India’s rich cultural heritage, long followed traditions, and the most advanced civilization in the world in the past times. Be it the temple architechture, monuments like Ajanta- Ellora, the epics like Ramayan and Mahabharat, Astronomy, Astrology, we talk about it with great pride. Mega events like Kumbh Mela, Festivals like Ganesh Festival, Dasara, Diwali are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Traditions like Chaturmasa are followed with great devotiion. Pilgrimages like Narmada Parikrama, Kailas Manas Sarovar yatra are done despite great hardships.
But we have lost some significance and understanding with time. We often follow traditions and rituals without understanding the underlying science and principles. Over generations this has created a misconception that these are blind faiths. At Decoding Bharat we try to explain the science behind these rituals and concepts. Also we have to interpret these with context to the modern lifestyle that we follow. This understanding will help us in improving our quality of life. The youth of this country have many questions regarding our cultural practices and if unaswered this will create a disbelief in the system that has survived over centuries. When most ancient civilizations have ceased to exist, hinduism has survived the test of time due to the firm beliefs and following them over time.
